Maybe a little anti-social?
Puritans followed very closely with the bible: According to Exodus 20:8-11, puritans are to work six days out of the week. This is why Puritans were thought to be dull in spirit for their lack of celebration; however they did put effort into their weekly celebration of “Lord’s Day.” To celebrate the “Lord’s Day” or Sunday to praise the Lord, puritans came together on Saturday evenings to worship God, eat a meal, and then relax and socialize.
